The University
The University of New South Wales is one of Australia’s foremost international research-intensive universities, attracting outstanding scholars and students from around the world. It is highly regarded for both its teaching excellence and innovative research. In the 2009 World University Rankings from The Times Higher Education Supplement, UNSW was ranked 47th in the world overall. Established in 1949, UNSW currently has 44,000 students, more than 11,000 are international students representing over 130 nationalities. The University also maintains strong links with its international graduate community, which consists of more than 200 000 alumni, scattered all over the globe. The main UNSW campus is located close to the city’s business hub on a leafy 38-hectare site at Kensington in the heart of Sydney’s eastern beachside suburbs.
The Law Building
UNSW Law Faculty leads all Australian universities for the quality of learning and teaching law. For three consecutive years (2007, 2008, 2009) the Faculty of Law, together with UNSW Australian School of Business, has achieved the Federal Government’s top ranking in the business, law and economics cluster.

Postgraduate Programs Our Law programs include the Master of Laws (LLM) which is ranked among the finest in Australia. Students can choose to specialise in one of 11 areas or complete a generalist LLM. We also offer a wide range of postgraduate law programs for both lawyers and non-law graduates including the very popular Master of International Law and International Relations degree and the Master of Human Rights Law & Policy. New programs include the Master of Business Law for non-lawyers and the Master of Criminal Justice and Criminology for both lawyers and non-lawyers.

The Faculty
UNSW Faculty of Law comprises the School of Law and the Australian School of Taxation and has 12 affiliated legal research and advocacy centres, all housed within the new law building.
Entry Requirements
Candidates for the Master of Laws by Coursework (LLM) must have an undergraduate law degree,or equivalent, with a credit average. The Master of International Law & International Relations, the Master of Human Rights Law & Policy, the Master of Criminal Justice & Criminology, the Master of Business Law, the Master of Dispute Resolution, the Master of Legal Studies, Master of Taxation, Master of International Taxation, Master of Taxation and Financial Planning and Graduate Diploma in Applied Intellectual Property programs are open to students who do not hold an undergraduate law degree.
Application Procedure
For a step by step guide on how to apply, please visit - UNSW international. You will need to provide certified or original copies of the required documents to the Admissions Office. Complete applications usually take 4 to 6 weeks to process. The fee for each online application is A$50 and A$100 for each paper application. Tuition Fees
